January 2018
....we speak as those approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel. We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts.
1 Thessalonians 2:4

As we go through the year, we can consider our words. Our words should honor God, who sees us and knows us. Our words should reflect what is in our hearts.  It does not mean that we won't struggle to please God. It gives a goal to strive for, not just this year, but every year we are blessed to live.

June 2017
We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you         Colossians 1:3

Prayer is important. None of us has all the answers or all the ability to live the life we are called to. Prayer connects us with the Trinity (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) to live the life we are called to. It also allows us to be reminded of others and their needs.

January 2017
Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved.    Philippians 4:1

The world we live in provides many challenges in following godly principles as described in the Bible. As fellow believers we love each other and encourage each other to follow godly principles.

October 2016
Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may give to him whom needs.  Ephesians 4:28
This is a reminder to us that many actions that we have done negatively have a positive way to be done, not only for us, but for others who need these results. A person who lies (tells tales) can be the same person who tells true stories that bless and encourage instead of take away from others. Are we doing something wrong? Can it be changed into a positive action? Think about it and let us ask God to help us change it.
July 2016
And they glorified God in me.   Galatians 1:24
All glory should go to our Lord, who is the one who allows good to be seen in us as well as letting God work through us for good.
April 2016
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.    2 Corinthians 4:5
Our God is an awesome God that provide us with many blessings. We need to be reminded that our blessings come from God and acknowledge that our good comes from God. When it comes to God, we are to be humbled by His mercy toward us. We are servants of God, all to God we owe.
January 2016
For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish, foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. 1 Corinthians 1:18
The world may appear different when we do things or respond as we believe the Bible calls us to respond. Others may see us and not understand. May we be encouraged to follow God through the word of God.
November 2015
First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
Romans 1:8
What an item to be thankful for. Where is our faith? Where do we put our trust? We should not be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God. May we thank our God through Jesus for the people God allows to be a part of our lives.
September 2015
These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.      Acts 1:14
It is important for us to gather with other Christ followers to pray together. Prayer shows our humanity, as all of us are under God. May we take opportunities to pray with others and bring our concerns to our Lord Jesus.
July 2015
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgement. John 7:24
It is easy for us to make a decision based on what we see. We can be deceived by what we see as we do not see as God sees. God sees the heart. We need to take time to see the heart of a person or a situation before we make judgement. We all make judgements. Let us make sure all of our judgement are made with the heart of the Lord Jesus in mind.
May 2015
When his time of service was completed, he returned home. Luke 1:23
We are made to serve. There is a time and place for our serving. There is also time for receiving. Are we doing both, serving and receiving? We can take time to rest and refresh.
March 2015
As it is written in the prophets, Behold I sened my messenger before your face, which shall prepare thy way before you. Mark 1:2
What a nice way to receive marching orders if you are a Christ follower. Are we living lives that others she as honoring Christ. Are we telling others about the goodness of Christ? Are we honoring others that are honoring Christ with their lives? Let us encouraging one another to be messengers of Christ.
January 2015
Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children
Obedience to our Lord is important. So many things ask for our attention, and take us away from what the Lord wants for us. We may be missing the blessings the Lord has for us.
November 2014
Thus says the Lord of hosts: If you will walk in my ways, And if you will keep My command, Then you shall also judge My house, and likewise have charge of My courts, I will give you places to walk among those who stand here.
Follow God, and he will give you wisdom to handle situations that come into your life. The Lord will guide you, and his direction is perfect.
September 2014
Thus said the LORD of hosts; Consider your ways. Haggai 1:7
Have you had time to consider what you do? Do you have God in mind as you are doing whatever you are doing? We must always keep in mind what the Lord would have you to do and act accordingly.
July 2014
The just LORD is in the midst: he will not do iniquity: every morning does he bring his judgement to light, he doesn't fail; the unjust know no shame.     Zephaniah 3:5
God has not left this world. Sometimes we can become discouraged because of bad situations. God judges. Sometimes we see the results of his judgement now, sometimes we must wait to see his judgement, if we are able to see it. We must trust that God's judgement is best, because it is He that made us. Sometimes people who are involved in bad situations appear not to care about what they are doing. God cares and God will have the last word. May we be reminded of God's justice and mercy.
May 2014
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. Habbakuk 2:14
Everyone will see and hear about the glory of the Lord. The Lord will use the believers in Christ to show His glory - in what we say, what we do, and what we refrain from doing. There will be people who will say that they don't see the glory of the LORD because they choose not to see it. It won't stop the Lord. Believers, don't let it stop us.
March 2014
The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the strom, and the clouds are the dust of His feet.
Nahum 1:3
Days can appear to be difficult and people may appear to be terrible. We can become discouraged, thinking that there is no hope for justice in this world. How wrong we can be when we think like this. The Lord sees all. The Lord determines when and how justice will be given. This is a good thing, because there was a time that as a believer, we were given mercy when we did not deserve it. When we are feeling discouraged, let us be reminded that the Lord knows what is best for all situations, and He will provide justice or mercy.
January 2014
Arise ye and depart; for this is not your rest: because it is polluted, it shall destroy you, even with a sore destruction.
Micah 2:10
Everything and everywhere is not good for those who follow Jesus Christ. We are asked to leave that which displeases the Lord Jesus. We should not become comfortable where the Lord does not want us to be.
December 2013
When my soul fainted within me I remembered the LORD: and my prayer came in unto thee, into thine holy temple.
Jonah 2:7
Life can provide challenges for us to be able to do what we need to do in the name of the Lord. Some times the challenges are of our choosing not to do what the Lord has called us to do. We serve a mighty God who hears all prayers. When we forget the Lord, He does not forget us. May we continue to pray for the Lord to help us to do what we are to do in the name of the Lord.
November 2013
Behold, I had made thee small among the heathen; thou are greatly despised.  Obadiah 1:2
Sometimes we feel no one notices us.Sometimes we feel that others despise us. It is possible that God has allowed this to happen, so that he can show His glory through us as we do His will. If God is for us, that thought can carry us through to do as He would have us to do.
October 2013
For thus saith the LORD unto the house of Israel, Seek me and ye shall live.   Amos 5:4
Have we ever felt that we weren't really living life? Seek the Lord and we shall live. We need to focus on looking for the Lord in the Bible, in our places of worship, and in our surroundings. When we find the LORD in all these places, we must follow the LORD, and then we will truly live.
September 2013
Fear not, O Land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things.   Joel 2:21
The Lord will do great things for those who trust and believe in the Lord. We serve a mighty God who is able to do great things. We should not be discouraged by others who do not believe that the Lord continues to great things today. Look for great things and appreciate all that the Lord provides and we will see the Lord do great things.
August 2013
I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing. Hosea 8:12
The bible is considered a strange thing to many people who do not consider Jesus as their Lord. The bible contains great things about what the Lord can do in our lives by looking at the great things the Lord has done. May we be encouraged to follow the Bible, even when others think it strange.
July 2013
How great are His signs! and how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.    Daniel 4:3
Our God is a mighty God! He shows Himself in many ways, if we look around us. He is still in charge of everything, and nothing can happen unless He allows it. He is the God of the past, present, and future. Although we may not understand life, we need to trust in the fact that God knows all and is above all.
June 2013
And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious. Ezekiel 2:7
It is much easier to say what people want to hear than it is to sometimes say what the Lord would have us to say. Rebellious means one knows what to do and decides not to do it. Rebellious can also mean knowing what not to do and one decides to do it anyway. The Lord may have us to remind our fellow Christ followers to follow Christ. We can speak the truth in love, always allowing for change to occur without judgement. May we be encouraged to say what the Lord has us to say and to follow what the Lord wants us to follow.
May 2013
Arise, cry out in the night: in the beginning of the watches pour out thine heart like water before the face of the Lord: lift up thy hands toward him for the life of thy young children, that faint for hunger in the top of every street.   Lamentations 2:19
Are we interceding for others? Are we listening to news as reasons to pray to the Lord for His mercy? Have we forgotten the Lord's mercy toward us as someone prayed for us? The Lord blesses those who are prayed for as well as the ones who are praying. Let us pray.
April 2013
Be not afraid of their faces; for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the Lord. Jeremiah 1:8
God has not given us a spirit of fear. When we do what God wants us to do, we need not be fearful. He will guide us, and nothing can happen to us that God does not allow for His purposes to shine forth. May we all remember this when we are asked to do what is challenging for us to do, especially when we look at people.
March 2013
Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds. Isaiah 3:10
We are to do what is right in the eyes of God. We learn what is right in the eyes of God by reading the Bible, following what the Bible states, praying to our Lord for understanding, and gathering with other Christ followers. It may not always seem that it will be well with us when we follow God, but He lets us know through the Bible that it will be well with us as we follow the Lord.
February 2013
Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jeolously is cruel as the grave; the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.     Song of Solomon 8:6
Who do we love? Do we have mates/spouses? Is our love for our mates/spouses strong? If we don't have mates/spouses, is our love for God strong? Even if we have mates/spouses, our love for our Lord Jesus Christ should be strong and it should be first in our lives.
Are we protective for our love of Jesus Christ? Are we protective of our love for our mates/spouses? Let us take time to focus on our primary love; Jesus Christ, and be grateful for all the other people the Lord allows us to love.
January 2013
Wisdom is the principal thing: therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.  Proverbs 4:7
It's a new day. It is important that we pay attention to what we are surrounded by so that we can respond in a way that honors God. How do we know what honors God? We must continue to read God's word and ask God to enlighten us; i.e. provide us with understanding. When God gives us understanding, He will provide us with wisdom.
December 2012
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
Psalm 121:1

No matter what your situation is, good or bad, know this; seek God for He is more than able to help you and bless your life! If you are ending the year in good times remember to take time on your knees thanking the Lord.
November 2012
What does man gain from all his labor at which he toils under the sun? Ecclesiastes 1:3
The key words in this sentence is "his labor". Work that we do for ourselves will never give us complete satisfaction. Work we do for God will last forever. As we go through each day, let us take time to ensure that we labor for God, out of our love for God, which will provide us with complete satisfaction.
October 2012
But whoever listens to me will dwell secure, and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.  Proverbs 1:33
Are we afraid of what may happen? Do we become overly concerned about weather, finances, health? If that is the case, we need to spend more time hearing the word of God; the Bible. When we spend the time hearing the word of God, we will be reminded of the power of God in all situations and can be at peace.
September 2012
But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of my head.  Psalm 3:3
Do you need protection? Do you feel down? The Lord is your cover. The Lord can lift you up. This is a reminder than you are not alone. God is always with you if you call upon Him and follow His will.
August 2012
Let not him that is deceived trust in vanity, for vanity will be his recompence.   Job 15:31
Is it all about us? Is it what we do that is important? Should it be what God does in us and through us be important? God can use anyone to accomplish His tasks. It is only through God that we can do whatever we do. Let us give honor and glory to God when we do mighty things. If we do not honor God, we may find out that we have nothing to do and nothing that is worthy of honor. Always honor God as the provider of the goodness that comes from us.
July 2012
For how can I endure to see the evil that shall come unto my people? or how can I endure to see the destruction of my kindred? Esther 8:6
Do we know of some one who is being harmed and we can do something about it? We are responsible if we can do something about it and we are not. Sometimes we are asked to support the person being harmed with encouragement. Sometimes we are asked to bring attention to the person(s) doing the harming. We must pray for guidance in the situation, then do as we are guided as it follows along godly direction. We can only be sure it follows godly direction through our reading of the holy Bible and our connection with other godly people.
June 2012
Nevertheless for thy great mercies' sake thou didst not utterly consume them, nor forsake them; for thou art a gracious and merciful God.   Nehemiah 9:31
God has the power to eliminate us or leave us but He does not. He is always around us, even when we don't believe He is around. He is so gracious that He loves us even when no one else loves us. What a great and merciful God we serve.
May 2012
Arise; for this matter belongeth unto thee: we also will be with thee: be of good courage, and do it.  Ezra 10:4
Are we ready to do what God is calling us to do? Do we have support to do what God has called us to do? As Christ followers, we are to encourage each other to do what God has called us to do. It is not always easy to stand for God. Stand, knowing that God will give the courage to do what He has asked us to do. Go forth in Jesus' name.
April 2012
And he did evil, because prepared not his heart to seek the Lord.  2 Chronicles 12:14
Have we had difficulty in doing the right thing? Are you not seeking the Lord for all you do? We are all to seek the Lord in all we do. If what we find does not agree with the Holy Bible, then it is not from the Lord. Seek and we will find all that God has for us when He wants us to.
March 2012
Because you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek Him according to the rule.       1 Chronicles 15:13
Have we done what God has asked us to do the first time? Did we not follow because we were not sure it was God or did we not want to do what God asked us to do? Some times when we are having trouble, we should think about what we have done or not done. It is our responsibility to seek God for what He requires us to do and do it willingly. Then, if trouble comes, we can know that it was not due to our disobedience. At all times, we are to seek God and ask for Him to give us the wisdom to follow Him the first time He guides us.
February 2012
But he said, as the LORD liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it, but he refused.
II Kings 5: 16
Because some one offers us something does not mean we have to receive it. All good things may not be good for us. We should ask God, to whom we are accountable, if we should receive what is given. If we receive what God does not want us to receive, we will pay for it dearly.
January 2012
Why then has thou not kept the oath of the LORD, and the commandment that I have charged thee with?
As we go through our daily activities, have we forgotten what God has asked us to do? Are we obedient to the people that God has placed over us? It is time for us to do what God has asked us to do, being submissive to God and to man under God. If we haven't, now is the time for us to be right with God. He has plans and blessings for us that we may miss because of our actions. Let us be responsible and do the right thing.
December 2011
It is God that avengeth me, and that bringeth down the people under me.
Are there people around us that give us a hard time, especially when we honor God? Not everyone is pleased to hear about the goodness, grace, and mercy of God. There are some that blame God for all the evil in the world. Since we are followers of God, we may be treated unfairly. Stand firm on the word of God, and let our actions be God honoring at all times, for it is God that is in charge of all situations. When it is hard to be God honoring , we are to be reminded that it is God that can take care of our situations.
November 2011
Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let no arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD's a God of knowledge, and by his actions are weighed.    1 Samuel 2:3
Pride. We like to talk about our gifts and benefits, but we must be reminded that all our gifts and benefits come from God. We should boast in God and we are thankful to God for it is He and not us that gives benefits.
October 2011
And it came to pass the same night, that the LORD said unto him, Arise, get thee down unto the host; for I have delivered it into thine hand.     Judges 7:9
Our Lord can give us the victory when we place our trust in the LORD and His timing. We must be ready to do what the LORD will call us to do when he calls us. The LORD knows everything. Let us respond as if we believe that the LORD knows everything. It is so easy to act first, then think or pray later. May we be reminded to pray before we act and to wait for God's timing for it is best.
September 2011
Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt,; but I wholly followed the Lord my God.   Joshua 14:8
Sometimes the people who are with us are not wholly following the Lord. Maybe they think they are following the Lord when it is not what we know God would have us to do. It is easier to stand for God with friends than it is when the people you thought would support you do not support you. Stand firm in the Lord, for there is purpose when you do/say what you believe our Lord would have you to do/say. It affects other people as well, possibly people you have never met, whom God wants you to affect. God will give you the strength to stand firm if you ask Him. Then watch and see what He will do with your faith and trust in Him.
August 2011
Ye shall not fear them: for the LORD your God, He shall fight for you. Deuteronomy 3:22
Is this a time where we have to fight against others who don't believe in following God? It is not always easy to do the right thing in God's eyes when everyone else around us is doing what does not honor God. People may give us a difficult time when we stand up for God. Don't feat them or what they may do to us for God is sovereign.
July 2011
All the days of his separation he is holy unto the Lord.
Numbers 6:8
There are so many things that can distract us from what the Lord wants us to do. The Lord tells us to take time to focus on Him, also known as the Sabbath. At that moment, we are holy unto God. We have time to focus on the Lord and what the Lord may want from us. We see our Lord as holy, honorable, and mighty. We should take this time at least weekly to honor our Lord for who He is.
June 2011
Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Three important words are in this sentence: grace, peace, and Father. Do we have these in our lives? We can have grace and peace in our lives if we believe in God, who is our Father, through Jesus Christ. Are we showing others grace? Do we see people as God sees them? Let us ask God to help us to do so. Do we have peace? We must ask God for the peace that passes all understanding.
May 2011
Honor your father and your mother: that the days may be long upon the Land which the Lord thy God give you.
Exodus 20:12
Are you honoring your mother and your father? Are you respecting them and placing them in consideration? To honor is to respect outwardly and inwardly, even if you do not agree with them. If you are a mother or father, are you honoring your mate? God asks us to do so. Our challenge is to honor mothers and fathers as a way that we honor God, and he will bless us for our faithfulness.
April 1, 2011
And behold, I am with you, and will keep you in all places you go, and will bring you again into this land: for I will not leave you, until I have done that which I have spoke to you of.
Genesis 28:15
God is always with us and He will not leave us. The Lord loves us so much that He was willing to die for our sins, no matter where we have gone or what we have done. God let us know that He would do what He said by providing us with a deliverer from our sins. We need to receive this gift gladly and remember that God wants to offer everyone this gift. May we do our part to offer the gift that keeps giving in honor and glory to God.
March 1, 2011
He that hath  an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; to him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.
Revelation 2:7
All of us have areas of struggles, Christ followers and those who are not following Christ. Struggle areas can only be overcome through the power of God as we admit our faults, submit the faults to God, and follow the direction of God as it relates to our faults. Each time we do this, we are showing the overcoming power of God as the power of the enemy to snare us decreases.
February 1, 2011
But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ
Jude 17
In order for us to remember, we have to know it. We are to know words from the Bible. If we study, read, and memorize words from the Bible, we can remember the words when we need them in our situations. The Bible is pertinent for all situations. We must take the time to read and reflect on these important words that can be available when we or others need the words to continue living strong in the Lord.
January 1, 2011
Dear friend, I pray that you may enjoy good health and that all may go well with you, even as your soul is getting well.
3 John 2
This is a nice way to encourage all of us, that we be in good health and that we continue to have God work on our souls, so that our souls will get will. Our souls are getting well, because each of us must battle temptations to sin to become well. If we are not in good health, let us pray that we do all we can do to be in good health and trust God to do the rest. Some times we must learn to rest in God where He has us, even if that means it is not the health that we desire. His ways are not our ways. During these times, it is important that our souls seek God and He will give rest for our souls. May we always seek God who knows what's best for us, and ask the same for our friends.
December 15, 2010
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed
2 John 10
Many people speak of different religions or no religion at all. For the people that you choose to be your close friends, make sure that they believe in the Jesus Christ that you believe. If they don't, share with them who Jesus is and what a relationship with Jesus can be. Jesus is the light of the world. Let Him shine in our lives every day.
December 1, 2010
Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.       2 John:3
Grace, mercy, and peace are with us, when we understand God as our Father and Jesus as our Lord. This implies obedience to God thruogh following the word of God; the Bible. It is through the Bible that we can verify what is truth and love . We are to live our lives in God's truth through showing the love of God in us. Believe and receive His grace, mercy, and peace.
November 15, 2010
Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought to love one another.
1 John 4:11
We should love others whether they love us or not and whether they are good or not. We must be reminded to love as God loves, trusting God to help us love others as He loves and to work with others leading them to Him.
November 1, 2010
He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also to walk , even as He walked.  1 John 2:6
Do we claim to be a followers of Christ? Do we try to do what we believe what God would want us to do? Maybe we don't know what God would want us to do. Let us take time to read the Bible, spending time focusing on what it says and how it applies to what we do. Afterwards, let us pray that God will let us know what to do, and do it unto the Lord.
October 15, 2010
Ye therefore, beloved, seeing you know these things before, beware lest ye also being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from you own stedfastness
2 Peter 3:17
We must pay attention to others who would like to confuse us and direct us away from the truth of God. There is an enemy who would like to convince us that God is not truth, and that it does not matter is we do not follow as God leads us. Whenever we are willing to compromise what God states, we fall into the temptation. It is important for us to read the Bible and be supported with following what the Bible states, so that our enemy will flee as we stand fast in the Lord. As long as we are willing to ask the Lord to help us and we are willing to follow the Lord, He will provide us with a way to stand and depend on Him.
October 1, 2010
Wherefore I will not be negligent to put you always in remembrance of these things, though ye know them, and be established in the present truth.
2 Peter 1:12
As followers of Christ, we are responsible to share with others the truth of Christ, especially to our fellow believers. We should encourage each other and strengthen each other to follow the words of God. No matter how long each of us has believed in the truth of God, we can always be reminded to do the right thing as God would have us to do. Let us not forget that it is our responsibility to share and support each other in the Lord.
September 15, 2010
Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren , be pitiful, be courteous
1 Peter 3:8
We should love one another and offer mercy(pity) one to another, while being courteous one to another. When we treat others in this style , people will see that there is something different about us. Is it easy to do this all the time? No, but we may ask the Lord to help us to know how to treat each other in ways that honor God because He would have us to do so, not because we "feel" like it. Our actions should show that God's love is so strong, we can share it with others.
September 1, 2010
For he that will love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile
1 Peter 2:10
Who wants to have a good day? We need to watch what we say, knowing that God is watching what we do. Let us pay attention not only to what we say, but what is behind what we say. Let us ask God to guide our words so that all we say honors Him, and that is a good day.
August 15, 2010
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.   James 3:16
Do we want want others have? Do we try to argue with others and create confusion? This type of environment creates evil situations. We need to make sure that we do not look at what others have with the thought that we should have it without asking God what He wants for us. God's desire for us is better than anything that we could think of for ourselves. Let us not be part of evil, but be part of good in praying for those who have good to use it for the glory of God.
August 1, 2010
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.  James 2:10
We need to be reminded that we are all sinners to God. No sinner is better than any other sinner. If one is a thief, and one tells a little lie, both are guilty before the Lord. Let us treat each other as sinners who need the Lord to help us through each and every day, in each and every way.
July 15, 2010
This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them    Hebrews 10:16
Are we following the law of the Lord; the Bible? When we have truly decided to surrender our lives to the Lord, we will be guided to follow the laws of the Lord. Even though we may be distracted by our flesh and the enemy, in our minds and our hearts we will know what is truth. Isn't that what many people are looking for? We can tell them that we have found truth, that it exists, if we are willing to listen. The truth makes us free, free in Christ.
July 1, 2010
For every house is builded by some man; but he that buildeth all things is God.     Hebrews 3:4
In these days, we can think about what man can do without remembering that it is God who is over all. Our first focus must be to God. At all times our focus must be based by God in our lives. Man would have us to think that he is in charge. We must pay attention to man, but keep our focus on God.
June 15, 2010
If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on my account.    Philemon 18
Do we pay attention to others around us? Are we willing to take the blame so that others may see God working in us? Are we willing to have difficulty so that God may show through us? This is what Jesus did, taking the punishment that we deserve. May we be guided to show grace to others because of the grace we have received from Christ.
June 1, 2010
I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers.
Philemon 4
Are you thanking God for the people in your life? Are you praying for the people in you life? We are reminded to thank God for the people that are in our lives and pray for them regularly. God listens to our prayers. Let us not neglect our responsiblity to pray.
May 15, 2010
For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another
Titus 3:3
Before we think that we didn't have problems before we surrendered to the Lord, we are reminded of the grace our Lord gave us. We should give grace to others who are having difficulty, knowing that we have been like them. We are to be an encouragement to them that the Lord can change their hearts.
May 1, 2010
They profess that they know God; but in works they deny Him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.  Titus 1:16
There are people who say they believe in God, but do not respond as if they let the Holy Spirit guide them. They don't follow or do what the Lord has called them to do. Their actions do not honor God because their attentions are wrong.
Let this be a reminder to us to follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let us continue to read the Bible and follow as it directs us, verifying through prayer and connection with godly believers. Let us pray and ask the Lord if our actions honor God. If we do not believe our actions honor God, we should not do these actions. Let us place our love to do what the Lord calls us to do primary in our lives.
April 15,2010
Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.   2 Timothy 3:12
We live in times where being a Christian is biased, old fashioned, bigoted, and intolerant. It is not unusual for people to come against Christians. It is stated in the Bible that these days would come. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.
April 1, 2010
Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God
2 Timothy 1:8
It is not always popular to stand for our Lord, or to follow the teachings of our Lord. We may expect that others will harass us for following Christ: family, neighbors, associates, and other people. Stand for the Lord and trust in the Lord to give you the power to stand for the Lord.
March 15, 2010
For therefore we both labor and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of those who believe.                         1 Timothy 4:10
It is not always easy to stand for Christ. It may mean that others will talk against us because of our belief in Christ. Our trust in the Lord will give us the strength to labor and suffer for His name.
March 1, 2010
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus     1 Timothy 2:5
There are many religions in the world today. Some religions state that there are many gods or one God with many ways to reach God. The Bible makes it clear that there is one God and one way to reach God. When we are troubled, frustrated, confused, and concerned; we can call upon the Lord as our help.
February 15, 2010
But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth        2 Thessalonians 2:13
We have been chosen by God to believe in Him and to trust in Him. When we realize the gift we have been given in being chosen to be loved by our Lord, we can be thankful and grateful. The Lord of all loves us! We are directed to remember that God's love is a gift, so that we don't take His love for granted.
February 1, 2010
That ye be not soon shaken in mind , or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.
2 Thessalonians 2:2
We must be reminded of the truth of Jesus Christ. Let us not be distracted or frustrated by what we hear or see that will take us away from the love of Jesus Christ and our belief in Jesus Christ. Let us not be worried.
January 15, 2010
For now we live, if ye stand fast in the Lord.
1 Thessalonians 3:8
It is not an easy thing to do, to stand fast in the Lord. When we do the godly activities that the Lord would have us to do, we upset people. We upset friends, family members, and co-workers. Seek strength from the Lord as we stand on His name, and look for fellow believers to encourage each other as we stand together. When we encourage each other doing the right thing, we live stronger in the Lord.
January 1, 2010
Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ       1 Thessalonians 2:6
Paul, an apostle of Christ, made the emphasis to his brother in the faith, Timothy, that he was not seeking glory for himself.
Are we seeking that people acknowledge who we are and how important our job is? Not as followers of Christ. Everyone is important, so no one is deserving of glory except Jesus Christ our Lord. Let us be reminded as we do the tasks given to us that we are only able to do what we do because the Lord allows us to and give our Lord all the glory.
December 15, 2009
If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Colossians 3:1
What are you looking for? Are you looking to develop the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance, and other godly qualities? We should be asking the Lord to help us know and love Christ more, as Christ develops fruit in us.
December 1, 2009
For it pleased the Father that in Him should fullness dwell.
Colossians 1:19
In Him should all fullness dwell. In this where we are looking for fullness? Really? Are we looking to God for a full life? If not, we can;t start now. If so, share the fullness of God with others.
November 15, 2009
Let your moderation be known unto all men.
The Lord is at hand.    Philippians 4:5
What does it mean to be moderate? One way to think of moderate is to think of control, one of the fruits of the Spirit. God wants others to see our moderation at all times and wonder, how can this be? It is because the Spirit of the Lord gives us the power to be moderate and to be at peace, drawing others to the Lord.
November 1, 2009
Do all things without murmurings and disputings
Philippians 2:14
This appears to be a simple verse. Easy to say, but not always easy to do. It reminds us to be submissive to God and to those He places us under authority. When we murmur, dispute, or complain; we are complaining to God (as if we know what's best for us). Next time we're tempted to complain, let us look to God, ask if He has purpose for it, and be grateful for what the Lord is doing with us and through us.
October 15, 2009
Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.       Ephesian 5:6
Follow the Bible. Don't listen to those who don't believe the Bible. When we do what we know is wrong by God's standards, we are tempting God's wrath upon us. Who wants God's wrath? I don't and I don't think you want His wrath upon you either.
October 1, 2009
Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.       Ephesians 1:2
Are you showing God's grace to others? Are you receiving grace from God? You can only receive grace from God when you have asked God for forgiveness of your wrongs, and asked the Lord to lead you in the right direction. You can give grace to others when you have forgiven them for thier actions, asking the Lord to forgive them and guide them. This will give you peace that only the Lord can give.
September 15, 2009
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Galatians 5:1
When we ask the Lord to guide us and follow as the Lord leads, we are free to enjoy the Lord's blessings upon us. When we choose not to ask or follow the Lord, we may be drawn by our desires to the point that we are trapped by our desires and become bound ( in bondage to them). Let us be reminded to keep the Lord first in our lives, so that we will stay free.
September 1, 2009
For do I now presuade men or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet please men, I should not be the servant of Christ.     Galatians 1:10
Everything we do should show that we honor God. This is not always easy to do. Many times we will be against man (friends, family, coworkers, etc). It is God who gives us the strength to do as He asks us to do. Let us not neglect to ask the Lord what we should do in all situations and to call upon the Lord ofr His strength to do what He has called us to do.
August 15, 2009
For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath and not according to that he hath not
2 Corinthians 8:12
The Lord asks us to be willing to do His will. He will not ask us to do or be something that He has not made us to be. He holds us accountable. Have we accepted what the Lord has given us and done what He has asked of us?
Let us examine ourselves and be willing to do what the Lord has asked us to do.
August 1, 2009
For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ
2 Corinthians 1:5
Have you had difficulty with people because you are doing God's will? Are you living the life of a Christ follower?
Living as a Christ follower frustrates those who live worldly lives. Christ followers know that our peace and joy come from our love of Christ, which is why we can go forth doing God's will. This is a reminder of where our strength comes from.
July 15, 2009
Let all your things be done with charity.
1 Corinthians 16:14
When you do things, do you go forth as someone who is obliged to do it or someone who does it out of love? Love can oblige you, but obligations may not make you love. Love should be present in all godly activities, for God is love.
July 1, 2009
God is faithful, by whom ye were called unto the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 Corinthians 1:9
God is faithful. God is with us always. God loves us so much that He called us through Jesus Christ so that we could be close to Him and have a relationship with Him. He sought us out because He wants us and loves us. No matter what is going on around us, we need to remember God is with us. Are we with Him? Who you with?
June 15, 2009
I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost.
Romans 9:1
Do you say the truth in Christ? All the time? This is something for all of us to strive for.
June 1, 2009
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.             Romans 1:9
God is always watching us. Others are watching us, too. Is our behavior an example of our love for God? We should strive to be examples to others. Do we regularly pray for others? We should pray for our family, freinds, enemies, neighbors, and whomever the Lord guides us to pray for.
May 15, 2009
So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
Acts 19:20
The word of God is mighty. Are we reading it daily? Are we taking time to let God work His word in our lives? If we are not, we are choosing to live less than the full life God promises. Let's make the change to show that the word of God is mighty as we follow and live the word in our lives.
May 1, 2009
For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
Acts 2:39
We have been given promises from our Lord. Are we listening? Do we act as if we have been given the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide us? Stop and pay attention. Our Lord is calling us . Let us respond to His call and His guidance in faith. Let us encourage others to do likewise.
April 15, 2009
But if a man walk in the night, he stumbleth because there is no light in him.    John 11:10
Is the light of the Lord in you? Do you trust the Lord to be your light, or are you trusting in your self? Only our Lord Jesus can shine the light as the Son through you and for you. To have the light, you must believe Jesus is the Son of God and have faith shown by following Jesus' example of living life guided by God. How can you follow Jesus' example? Read the Bible to guide your actions and pray/talk to Jesus about your concerns. You will see the light, when you are humble to Jesus.
April 1, 2009
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.     John 3:21
Integrity. Standing for what you believe God is asking you to do. Doing the right thing. When you believe in Christ and have the Holy Spirit guiding you, verified by the Bible, you can come to the light. You are not upset when your deeds are known, since your deeds glorify God. Do the works of God as an example of your love of God and watch His light shine upon you.
March 15, 2009
Take heed to yourselves: if thy brother trespass against thee: rebuke him, and he repents, forgive him.  Luke 17:3
We are not to allow ourselves to be misused by others. If they repent (be truly sorry and turn away from their wrong actions), we are to forgive them. We can only do this with God's guidance and support.
March 1, 2009
The light of the body is the eye: therefore when thine eye is single, thy whole body is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body is full of darkness.             Luke 11:34
Are  you looking at life as God sees life? How would you know how God sees life? One must read the Bible regularly and connect with Christ followers. Make sure to do all you can to look at what honors God. Have a body that is full of light, not darkness.
February 15, 2009
Salt is good: but if the salt has lost is saltness, wherewith will ye season it? Have salt in yourselves and have peace one with another.              Mark 9:50
God has given each of us special gifts to use for the glory of God. If you don't use your gift, something will be missed. Use your gifts and learn to appreciate your other Christ followers' gifts. Don't be jealous of others' gifts. Let's work together for the glory of God.
February 1, 2009
The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his path straight.        Mark 1:3
This is asked of all believers, to stand for Jesus Christ, to show others about Christ, to live as Christ-like as we can, by asking the Lord to help us to be all the Lord wants us to be. Even when it appears that we are the only Christ followers wherever we are, we must stand for Christ. Let us be reminded to do and be as the Lord has called us.
January 15, 2009
And Jesus came and touched them, and said "Arise, and be not afraid."      Matthew 17:7
Have you paid attention to the Lord working in your life? The Lord is working in our lives regularly. Have you taken time to let the Lord work in your life or have you focused on your own agenda? Are you fearful of taking time with the Lord for you are concerned about what He may ask of you? Do not be fearful. Rise to what the Lord has called you to do and you will be blessed.
January 1, 2009
But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, "Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid."     Matthew 14:27
Life can give many surprises. It can be easy for us to take our eyes off of Christ and have our eyes on our surroundings. Jesus is here. Look for Him, trust in Him, and give your fears to Him. Be hopeful and cheerful, knowing Jesus is with those who follow Jesus.
December 15, 2008
Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, "Wherein shall we return?"   Malachi 3:7
This verse can be encouragement to parents, and to all people for God is our Father. You can choose to have God as your leader, becoming close to God and God will accept you as His child if you are willing. Be willing.
December 1, 2008
Ye have wearied the Lord with your words . Yet ye say, Wherein have we wearied Him? When ye say, "Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the Lord, and He delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgement?"
Malachi 2:17
Have you ever thought of God becoming tired of our actions? Because God is patient does not mean God can not become tired of us. Have you tried to make a compromise and state that God doesn't mind? Do you deny God's power to judge us for our actions? Think hard. Think real hard. Ask God to forgive you and change your thoughts to display your gratefulness for God's mercy.
November 15, 2008
Yea, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.
Zechariah 8:22
Seek the Lord, whether it is popular or not. Pray to the Lord and ask him what He wants of you. If you have not asked Him to be the Lord of your life, do so. Everyone has the opportunity to connect with the Lord. Don't miss out on your connections.
November 1, 2008
Be silent, O all flesh, before the Lord: for He is raised up out of his holy habitation.                                Zechariah 2:13
Do you have quiet time with the Lord? It is important for all followers of Christ to have quiet time with the Lord. Be reminded to take the time to worship the Lord and experience his love so you may share it with others.
October 15, 2008
The sliver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.                                                        Haggai 2:8
Do we understand that money and riches belong to God? We are entrusted to take care of God's money and to use it for God's glory. May we be reminded to be good stewards of what God has entrusted to us: things and people.
October 1, 2008
Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; consider your ways.                                                        Haggai 1:5
This verse is repeated again in verse 7; consider your ways.
Take time to consider what you are doing. Are you placing God first, or your own needs first? Consider your ways and change them if God is not first.
September 15, 2008
Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame. Zephaniah 3:19
Have you suffered because you are a Christian? Have people asked you to leave or tried to shame you? The Lord knows. He will repay and His payment will bless you. Be encouraged and stand strong for the Lord and in the power of His might.
September 1, 2008
Seek ye the Lord, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought His judgement: seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the Lord's anger.
Zephaniah 2:3
These are troublesome times for many people. What should we do? We should seek the Lord. We may have less trouble. We must also seek to follow the Lord, for this is righteousness.
August 15, 2008
Thou wentest forth for the salvation of thy people, even for salvation with thine anointed; thou woundedst the head out of the wicked by discovering the foundation unto the neck. Selah
Habakkuk 3:13
God talkes care of His people. He will get to the source of trouble as He defends those who defend Him according to His will. Let God fight your battles.
August 1, 2008
Thou hast consulted shame to thy house by cutting off many people and hast sinned against thy soul.   Habakkuk 2:10
Do we think about how we respond to people? Is it godly? Have we reached out to others and forgiven them? If we haven't, we may have allowed trouble to come to us. Let us change our ways in Jesus' name and reach out to others for His glory.
July 15, 2008
There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievious: all that hear the brunt of thee shall clap the hands over thee; for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?
Nahum 3:19
This is another reminder that those who treated others wickedly will have to pay the punishment for their actions. Do not let it be you who must pay the punishment. Confess to the Lord and allow the Lord to redirect your actions biblically.
July 1, 2008
God is jeolous, and the Lord revengeth; the Lord revengeth, and is furious; the Lord will take vengeance on His adversaries, and He reserveth wrath for His enemies.
Nahum 1:2
Our God is jeolous, wanting to be respected for loving us. When you feel that you are being persecuted for loving God, know that God reserves His wrath for His enemies.
June 15, 2008
The Lord's voice crieth unto the city, and the man of wisdom shall see thy name: hear ye the rod, and who hath appointed it.                        Micah 6:9
Are you listening for God? Are you a person of wisdom? God is talking. Take time to listen for God. Take time to see what God wants to show you about Himself and to learn more about Him.
June 1, 2008
For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
Micah 4:5
This sentence speaks about a time thousands of years ago; however it also talks about today. People choose to follow many things. We pray that you have chosen to follow the Lord our God and to have Him as the leader, the guide, the one who rules our lives. Remember that it is a choice. Hate the sin, but love the sinner, just as our Lord loves everyone.
May 15, 2008
But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth. and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands.   Jonah 3:9
Ask God what you are doing that displeases Him. Ask God to help you turn away from evil as you turn and move closer to God.
May 1, 2008
But I will sacrifice unto thee with the voice of thanksgiving: I will pay that that I have vowed. Salvation is of the Lord.   Jonah 2:9
All that we do should be as the Lord would have it to be. We are to give up what we think and do as the Lord guides us for it is He that can save us and help us.
April 15, 2008
Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity.
Obadiah 13
This is talking about kicking people when they are having difficulties, and having pleasure in hurting people, even if they are wrong/bad. If you can not help a person in distress, do not add to their stress. Remember God sees you at all times.
April 1, 2008
The pride of thine heart hath deceived thee, thou that dwellest in the clefts of the rock, whose habitation is high, that saith  in his heart, Who shall bring me down to the ground?  Obadiah 3
Pride has caused many people to fall. Always remember that it is the Lord who is over all, and not ourselves. Thank God for His many blessings and be humble.
March 15, 2008
It is He that buildeth his stories in the heaven, and hath founded His troop in the earth; He that calleth for the waters of the sea, and poureth them out upon the face of the earth: the Lord is His name           Amos 9:6
When the weather is bad, do you blame God? When the weather is good, do you thank God? We take for granted daily weather that allows us to live. As you look at nature, thank God for all of His blessings.
March 1, 2008
For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high place of the earth, The Lord, the God of hosts is His name.   Amos 4:13
Do you really know who God is? Do you know what God has done? Take time to think of God's abilities and acknowledge His omnipotence (all powerful).
February 15, 2008
And it shall come to pass that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be delivered... Joel 2:32
Problems, troubles, trials, and difficulties come to all of us. It is easy to become overwhelmed and frustrated. When you call upon the name of the Lord, believing in the name of the Lord, trusting in the Lord, and following the Lord, you can be delivered (removed) from the feelings of frustration and not be overwhelmed.
February 1, 2008
Tell ye your children of it, and let your children tell their children, and their children to another generation.  Joel 1:3
It is important that we share the news of God's mercy and God's wrath to the generations. We must encourage our youth to share this information by acknowledging the gifts God has given them and providing opportunities for them to use their gifts for the glory of God.
January 15, 2008
Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgement, and wait on thy God continually.        Hosea 12:6
Remember that God has been merciful to you. In your responses, consider guidance from God through Jesus Christ. Don't rush to make decisions, wait on the Lord.

He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivereth Daniel from the power of the lions.         Daniel 6:27
Are you in need of help? Are you discouraged? God helps and God demonstrates His power daily. Look for it and be amazed by the power of the Lord
November 15, 2007
Then shall ye remember your own evil ways and your doings that were not good, and shall loathe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.
Ezekiel 36:31
As Thanksgiving day in the United States approaches, take time to thank the Lord for showing when we are doing wrong and for God's guidance in directing away from wrong actions. Once a person has acknowledged/confessed to the Lord wrong actions and turned from wrong actions, a person can experience God's mercy. Thank the Lord for his mercy.
November 1, 2007
But as for them whose heart walketh after the heart of their detestable things and their abominations, I will recompense their way upon their own heads, saith the Lord God.
Ezekiel 11:21
The Lord chooses to allow consequences to occur sometimes in the lives of people so that they may understand the Lord. Seek through prayer the direction from the Lord and not rely on your emotions.

For those things I weep; mine eye, mine eye runneth down with water, because the comforter that should relieve my soul is far from me; my children ae desolate because the enemy prevailed.         Lamentations 1:16
How do you feel now? Do you feel that the enemy has won against you? Do you believe the Lord is far from you? Trust the Lord's presence in your life, for when you do not feel His presence, He is still working for your good in His will.

And I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people shall be satisfied with my goodness, saith the Lord.
Jeremiah 31:14
As we read the Bible, we can be reminded of God's goodness to us. Take time to look for the goodness of the Lord that surrounds us.

Therefore I said, Surely these are poor, they are foolish: for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgement of their God.    Jeremiah 5:4
As we start the month of September where some of us will focus on knowledge, let us be reminded that the most important knowledge is the way of the Lord. Read and study your bible learn the way of the Lord.

Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompense; he will come and save you.   Isaiah 35:4
It can be easy to give up if you don't feel you have the strength to fight against evil. Call on the Lord and trust the Lord at all times.

Learn to do well; seek judgement, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow    Isaiah 1:17
August can be a time of learning to do what the Lord would have you to do. Do not focus on yourself. Learn to focus on those who are hurting and show God's love to them: the oppressed, the fatherless, the widows, the people.

I am my beloved's and his desire is toward me.
Song of Solomon 7:10
Romantic love is meant to be between a man and  a woman. It is a symbol of our love for the Lord. The Lord desires to have our love. Reflect on your love for your mate and your love for the Lord. May your love for the Lord always be first in your life.

Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the swift gazelles and the deer of the wild, not to awaken love until the time is right.      Songs of Solomon 3:5 New Living Translation
Timing is important. The Lord answers prayer with yes, no, and wait. When it comes to romance, let the Lord lead you. Realize that waiting allows you to appreciate what the Lord has given to you.

In the day of prosperity be joyful, but in the day of adversity consider: God also hath set the one over against the other, to the end that man shall find nothing after him
Ecclesiastes 7:14
God allows prosperity and adversity. Remember to praise the Lord at all times.

I said in my heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work                                           Ecclesiasties 3:17
Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do good things happen to bad people? God has a purpose for everything. Many purposes will be revealed in time. Place your trust in the Lord who loves you and He will give you peace at all times.

He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man; he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.    Proverbs 21:17
Pleasure is okay, but don't love pleasure more than you love the Lord. You will be poor by having no peace. You will always be wanting and never be completely fulfilled. The peace that passes all understanding can only be received when you love the Lord with your whole heart.

For thus saith the Lord, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of  the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.
Isaiah 66:12, King James Version

We, the staff of Lord of Hope Ministries want you to know that God is present and wants to have a relationship with you.
God reminds us of His nurturing qualities: the comfort of a child being breastfed  while snuggled close to his mother, being held at his mother's side, and being bounced on his mother's knees.
Our God wants to comfort us, we need only to be willing to rely on Him.
If you want to have a relationship with Jesus Christ, if you have prayer requests, or just have questions, please feel free to email us with your questions or requests.
May God continue to watch over you and show you His love.
